During our Christmas stay, we were amazed by the stunning riverside setting and the friendly and helpful staff. the location was perfect, offering a tranquil and picturesque view of the surroundings. we enjoyed the live music during the night, which added a special touch to the overall experience.
The distance from the village, which initially caught us off guard. the hotel arranged transportation for us, so it didn't cause much inconvenience.

As someone with physical handicaps, I appreciated the spacious bathroom and the solid brick room which helped to minimize noise. the balcony area with a hammock and great views was a highlight. the 4 poster bed was big and comfortable, offering a good night's sleep. the property itself was beautiful and well-designed, with lovely features and charm. Free water refills and good food at the restaurant were a bonus.
Felt extremely safe, nothing was too much trouble.

The view from our balcony was simply breathtaking. We could hear the peaceful sound of the nearby river as we fell asleep, and even saw monkeys playing in the morning. The free water refills and delicious food at the restaurant were a pleasant surprise. The spacious bathroom and cozy porch added to the comfortable stay.
There was no hot water available in the bathroom, and the lock on our front door was quite difficult to use. We also had a bit of noise from a nearby bar, but they kindly stopped playing after we asked them twice.

The location was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the river and the nearby jungle. It was the perfect setting for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their knowledge and expertise really added to our experience, especially our guide on the jungle trek who went above and beyond to give us a close encounter with orangutans.
One downside was the lack of ventilation in the room. It was quite warm during our stay, and having a small fan or ventilator would have made a big difference in ensuring a comfortable sleep.

The location was absolutely stunning, with the river right in front and hammocks in every room to relax and listen to the soothing sounds. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and helped us with everything we needed. The restaurant had delicious and affordable food, especially the Chicken Semur. We also enjoyed the cool temperature and beautiful garden view from the terrace of our comfortable and clean room. The quiet area of Bukit Lawang was only accessible by foot or scooter, adding to the peaceful ambiance. Highlight of our stay was the jungle trek organized through the hotel, with our amazing guide providing an unforgettable experience and delicious meals. We can't wait to visit again!

We had the most amazing time at Garden Inn! The beautiful garden and jungle view from our balcony made us feel immersed in nature. We were lucky to spot orangutans, monkeys, and other wildlife right from our room. The friendly and welcoming staff, especially Mr. Ujay, made us feel at home and part of their little family. The restaurant was a great place to relax, enjoy good food, and even sing along with the talented musicians. The mosaics on the cabin walls added a unique touch to the cozy rooms. We also had an unforgettable jungle trek arranged by Garden Inn, with our guide Juhri who was both humorous and knowledgeable. The care and quality of the food during the trek were impressive, thanks to the talented chef Marwan. Despite a few minor inconveniences like the shared light switch and the lack of hot water in the bathroom, our stay at Garden Inn was truly memorable.

The beautiful garden creates a spacious atmosphere, perfect for any tourist. the sitting area is a great place to relax and the staff is flexible and helpful. the jungle trekking with Rio, Erwin, and Joi was amazing! These fun and hardworking guys made every effort to ensure the trek was a success. Rio even helped our 6-year-old daughter complete the 7-hour hike with a smile on her face.
Felt right at home, no complaints.
